? For more information, visit ? The Lean Coordinator/Sustainability Manager is responsible for driving continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and ensuring sustainability goals are met across the site.
This hybrid role combines Lean leadership with energy and environmental management, bringing all departments together to achieve operational excellence.
The job involves working closely with department leads and staff at all levels to establish a Lean culture and implement sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities Lean & Continuous Improvement Develop and sustain a Lean mindset across the site, standardizing processes and improving efficiency.
Align and support department leads and their teams to deliver CI projects within agreed timelines.
Ensure top 5 Lean projects are implemented effectively at the site and report out to the group in a monthly CI call.
Provide training and guidance to operatives that use CIRF (Continuous Improvement Request Forms) to make suggestion of improvements to deliver them as CI projects.
Facilitate structured problem-solving sessions to address operational challenges.
Sustainability & Compliance Track, trend, and report energy and water usage KPIs to identify opportunities for reduction.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and maintain certification to ISO 50001 and WSI management systems.
Support energy management efforts by continuously reviewing resource consumption and implementing improvement actions.
Cross-Functional Support Partner with all departments to collect observations, ideas, and solutions for process and sustainability improvements.
Assist the General Manager with strategic and operational tasks as required.
Support other departments in problem-solving and root cause analysis.
Hybrid Nature & Flexibility This is a hybrid role that balances Lean transformation with sustainability goals.
A candidate needs to be able to adapt between strategic planning and hands-on problem-solving.
Flexibility is important, whether they are helping frontline staff, working with senior managers, or working on projects on their own accord.
