Recruitment Manager @ Harper Finley | New Business Development
The Company:
Our client is one of Ireland’s leading vehicle and machinery hire and sales companies, with operations across Ireland and the UK. With over 50 years in business and a strong track record of innovation and growth, they are expanding rapidly and offer exciting career opportunities for commercially focused professionals.
The Role:
We are seeking to appoint a commercially minded and analytically strong Commercial Manager to support two of the group’s key business units. Based in Kildare, this is a hands-on, high-impact role that will involve working closely with the CEO and CFO to help drive strategic and commercial decisions.
You will take ownership of budgeting and P&L reviews, and play a key role in identifying cost-saving opportunities and performance improvement across a complex, fast-moving environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain senior-level exposure within a growing group of companies.
Responsibilities:
* Support financial oversight across multiple business units, with potential to expand into other parts of the group.
* Work directly with senior leadership to help shape commercial strategy and decision-making.
* Prepare and review monthly budgets, P&L, and financial reports, providing actionable insights.
* Analyse performance by customer, revenue stream, and asset type to identify opportunities for optimisation or renegotiation.
* Drive cost-saving initiatives and support efficiency improvements across the business.
* Partner with internal stakeholders across departments to ensure financial best practices and accountability.
The Person:
* Commercially driven, confident working closely with leadership teams with strong analytical and business acumen.
* Comfortable working across multiple businesses and managing competing priorities.
* Background in haulage, leasing, or asset-heavy industries is a strong advantage.
* Previous experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or commercial finance roles required
