To help us maintain our high standards, we are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join our team.
The Role
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel by carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep across all areas of the property. You'll work both independently and as part of a team to make sure our guests enjoy a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable stay.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections throughout the hotel (including guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and meeting spaces).
* Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues (plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, etc.).
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety regulations.
* Monitor and report defects or hazards, escalating to management where required.
* Liaise with external contractors and service engineers as needed.
* Follow planned preventative maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
* Ensure proper storage and handling of tools, equipment, and hazardous materials (in line with COSHH and EU regulations).
* Support energy conservation initiatives and assist in controlling maintenance-related costs.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and stock levels (tools, bulbs, etc.).
* Uphold professional appearance, punctuality, and confidentiality at all times.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a maintenance, engineering, or similar role (hospitality experience a plus).
* Knowledge of plumbing, electrics, and basic building services desirable.
* Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Professional, reliable, and proactive attitude.

Pay: €27,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
