Specialist Theatre Nurse
This role encompasses assisting in a diverse range of surgical specialties, including orthopaedic, general, ophthalmology, gynaecology, ENT, pain management, urology, and vascular care.
The successful candidate will possess knowledge of nursing practice relevant to their clinical area and be able to develop advanced specialist skills. They will also be accountable for delivering high-quality patient care, supporting colleagues, and maintaining effective communication with the multidisciplinary team.
* Collaborate in theatres with anaesthetic and post-anaesthetic care teams
* Develop in-depth knowledge of nursing practice relating to clinical area
* Ensure the highest possible standard of patient care and safety is consistently maintained
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in Theatres: Collaborate with experienced theatre staff to ensure smooth and efficient operating room procedures
* Develop Specialist Skills: Build expertise in a chosen clinical area through targeted training and continuous professional development
* Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: Provide compassionate and individualised care to patients undergoing surgery, prioritising their comfort and well-being
Requirements:
* Advanced diploma or degree in nursing or equivalent qualification
* Registered with the appropriate nursing regulatory body
* Minimum 1 year experience in theatre nursing or related field
