Location and Position Details
* Location: Respond Early Years Service, Oakfield Close, Mallow, Cork
* Position: Early Years Practitioner
* Reporting to: Early Years Childcare Manager
* Terms: Permanent full-time
* Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
* Hourly rate: €14.75 - €19.09 (offers are typically made at the beginning to mid-range based on skills and experience)

Job Purpose
To act as a positive role model and be responsible for the delivery and implementation of a high-quality play-based curriculum under the guidance of the national quality frameworks Aistear and Siolta, both indoors and outdoors. To guide, observe, stimulate, and supervise children in a safe and caring environment as part of the childcare team.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
* Promote and adhere to the service's ethos and mission
* Follow policies and procedures at all times
* Conduct observations to guide planning for activities
* Organize materials and resources reflecting children's interests and abilities
* Implement a play-based program encouraging independence and self-esteem
* Support children's emotional, social, and cognitive development
* Assist in providing healthy snacks meeting dietary needs and cultural variations
* Develop and support parental involvement strategies
* Ensure children's welfare in accordance with Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children
* Promote the service within the local community to support quality and sustainability
* Perform other relevant duties as required

Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of FETAC Level 5 in Early Years Education
* At least one year of paid post-qualification experience in early years
* Strong understanding of and experience in Early Childhood Education
