Key Responsibilities
* Implement and maintain a
Quality Monitoring System
ensuring 100% of products dispatched meet agreed customer specifications at all times.
* Implement and maintain a
fully compliant, audit-ready Quality Management System
aligned with all customer standards and Codes of Practice.
* Maintain and exceed
BRC AA++ grade
standards.
* Ensure all
Quality Control Points
remain in control at all times.
* Lead a
hands-on site inspection programme
ensuring all prerequisite programmes (PRPs) are adhered to; liaise with all departments to drive quick resolution of non-compliances.
* Lead the
QA Technician team
including recruitment, training, performance management, development and retention.
* Manage the review process for all
SOPs, material specifications and finished product specifications
; ensure clear communication of updates to staff, suppliers and customers.
* Support all departments in the delivery of training related to
product safety, legality and quality
.
* Continuously challenge and strengthen the Quality System through
robust internal audits
.
* Maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly
Quality performance reports
, including trend analysis of non-conformances, for Senior Management.
* Drive rapid mitigation and elimination of any
product or process risks
, identifying and removing root causes of non-conformances.
* Act as the
primary Quality contact
for all
1st, 2nd and 3rd party audits
and manage audit preparation and close-out.

Experience & Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years' proven experience working specifically as a Quality Manager in a food manufacturing environment
(essential).
* Working knowledge of
project management processes

* Strong understanding of:
* HACCP
* BRC AA grade compliance
* Major Multiple Retailer standards
* Internal and external auditing
* Experience in a
bakery environment
is an advantage.
* Education:
Degree in
Food Science
,
Food Technology
, or related discipline (minimum requirement).
