Job description:Galmere Fresh Foods is looking for a newly qualified Quality Controller from the food industry who is looking for a new challenge with a successful Galway-based Irish food business. We produce fresh food for retailers and brand owners including Cully & Sully, Lidl, Tesco, Aldi and Musgrave as well as our own brands Pestle + Mortar sauces and The Galway Kitchen houmous.The RoleReporting to the Quality ManagerSupport the NPD team in the development and implementation of new food product rangesWork with the operational management team to train, mentor and monitor team members to ensure we maintain our quality standardsParticipate with Quality Team in the management of our GFSI and customer standards, to always maintain audit ready statusInvestigate, monitor and resolve day to day quality issues and implement any resulting corrective and preventative actionsInspections and assessments of raw materials, packaging, machinery and finished products.Calibrations and record keeping on weighing machines, pH and temp probesLiaise with hygiene team and swab testing during productionValidation checks on packaging for outgoing productsSupplier non-conformance log, internal non-conformance LogAllergen control checksIdeal AttributesGalmere Ltd is looking for food science graduates who are keen to work with an ambitious team, whether recently graduated or looking for a change of roleWe promote in-house and invest in our team, so the desire to grow with a company is important to usAn enthusiastic, flexible approach is idealIdeally a minimum of 1 years' experience in a food production facilityExperience of HACCP & GFSIGalmere is passionate about food and that begins by working with growers and producers to source the best available ingredients.
