Job Title Digital Marketing Assistant

Location Finglas, Dublin / Off-site on occasion
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Digital Marketing Assistant / Graduate to join our growing Online team at one of Irelands largest sporting retailers. This role offers the opportunity to gain comprehensive hands-on experience in a variety of skillsets, including eCommerce, marketing, content creation, social media, SEO/PPC, data analytics, and more. This role would suit an ambitious individual with a strong creative aptitude who is looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
* Content Creation & Management
* Assist with the creation of marketing materials such as banners, reels, videos, and other visual promotional assets (e.g., using tools like Canva or similar).
* Assist in drafting, editing, and scheduling content for promotions, blogs, website pages, email newsletters, etc.
* Source and edit basic imagery/visuals to accompany digital content.
* Social Media
* Support the marketing team on day-to-day social media activity across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
* Monitor social channels and report on engagement and relevant trends.
* Actively engage and interact with our audiences and customers on social channels.
* Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
* Assist with SEO audits, including keyword research and basic on-page optimisations (e.g., meta descriptions).
* Conduct market research to identify new promotional and content opportunities.
* Monitor emerging digital trends in Digital, AI, LLMs, etc to ensure our promotional activities remain current and effective.
* Campaign Support:
* Support the team in setting up and monitoring small advertising campaigns (e.g., PPC, display, and social media).
* Create, format, and organise creative assets for digital campaigns.
* Reporting & Analytics
* Assist in pulling basic data and reports from our data sources.
* Contribute to weekly/monthly marketing performance reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* A good eye for design, with experience graphic design in one of Canva, PS, Adobe Express or similar.
* A third-level qualification in Multimedia, Marketing, or a similar field, or a minimum of one years experience in a similar role.
* A genuine enthusiasm for the Digital world, including an interest in AI, LLMs, emerging tech, and industry trends.
* A strong desire to learn and build a career in the digital world.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs).
* High level of organisation and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills (Bonus)
* Basic familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Ads, or any social media scheduling/reporting tools.
* Experience with WordPress or another CMS (Content Management System).
* Basic understanding of HTML/CSS (helpful for email/web content).
* An interest in sport, in particular Golf.
* Access to a car. (for commuting to our stores or off-site events)
