The 4* Galmont Hotel (Part of the MHL Hotel Collection) is currently recruiting an Assistant Restaurant Manager.REPORTS TO Restaurant ManagerPRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITIONTo maximise guest satisfaction by supervising the restaurant providing efficient, prompt, trouble free and courteous and quality beverage service to restaurant guests in line with departmental and hotel guidelines.TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSUPERVISES AND PROVIDES EFFICIENT, PROMPT, TROUBLEFREE, COURTEOUS AND QUALITY RESTAURANT SERVICESupervises the barsAttends weekly meeting with the Restaurant Manager to compile the rosters for all the F&D outletsEnsures the restaurant roster is in Alkimii and rosters are balanced on a daily basis.Controls wage cost in line with the budgetControls stock and wastage.Implementing fully the steps of service in the restaurant and bringing forward suggestions for improvementsServes restaurant guests their orders promptly and courteouslyTraining and motivating staff in order to ensure exceptional guest service at all timesDealing with difficult customers and ensuring that the proper complaint-handling process is implemented at all timesMaintains knowledge of restaurant inventory and wine selection to respond properly to guest questionsMaintains a thorough knowledge of standard policies and procedures regarding cash handling, check-writing, credit cards, city ledger and customer ledgerMaintains the restaurant reservation list, and checks the restaurant reservations list frequently during the shiftAnalyses budget, and takes action when requiredJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Company eventsEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFood allowanceOn-site parkingSick payWellness programAbility to commute/relocate:Galway, CO.
