Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager will oversee a diverse portfolio of strategic engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery from initiation through to closeout. This includes managing multiple projects simultaneously across automation, robotics, turnkey machinery, electrical systems, reporting platforms, and simulation environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement project management processes, best practices, and documentation standards.
* Drive accountability across key project metrics, including safety, budget, timeline, and scope.
* Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory codes, and internal policies.
* Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop cost estimates for approval.
* Lead cross-functional project teams, providing mentorship and support to junior and intermediate managers.
* Oversee financial planning, including budget development, cost control, and contractor negotiation.
* Prioritize and manage project expenditures to meet financial targets.
* Utilize planning tools to coordinate activities and ensure timely project completion.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks related to scope, budget, and timeline.
* Plan procurement activities and manage vendor relationships.
* Promote innovation in design, execution, and quality assurance.
* Lead start-up, commissioning, and formal project handover processes.
* Coordinate post-project engineering support and warranty tracking.
Qualifications & Skills
* A third-level degree in engineering or a PMP certification, with at least 5 years of relevant project management experience.
* Demonstrated success in leading full project lifecycles across multidisciplinary teams.
* Proven ability to manage technical project budgets, schedules, and risks.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate across departments.
* Experience working with both internal teams and external contractors.
* Full, clean driver’s license.
Desirable Experience
* Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 and GAMP standards.
* Experience in automation, robotics, or control systems.
* Previous work in the pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing sectors.
