About Your New Job as an External Sales Engineer
Grow and support the customer base across the North and West of the republic of Ireland through direct engagement and technical problem‑solving.
Spend significant time on the road - visiting sites, understanding client challenges, and recommending practical solutions tailored to industries such as water/wastewater and construction.
Identify and develop new business opportunities, follow up on enquiries, and convert them into sales.
Manage existing client accounts through regular calls, site visits, and proactive communication, overseeing the complete sales cycle from enquiry to project completion.
Collaborate closely with internal sales and technical teams to deliver integrated projects, provide product demonstrations, and offer expert guidance at site meetings and industry events.
Maintain accurate CRM records and straightforward sales forecasts, while staying alert to competitor activity and market trends.
What Skills You Need to be the External Sales Engineer
Proven experience in technical sales within sectors such as water, industrial process, automation, or instrumentation.
Background in mechanical, electrical, or process instrumentation/automation products.
Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills; ability to translate customer requirements into effective solutions.
Confident communicator with engineers, buyers, and project teams.
Experience using CRM tools and handling basic sales reporting.
Willingness to travel throughout the North and West of Ireland.
Full, clean driver’s license and legal right to work in Ireland.
What’s on Offer
Base salary €50,000 – €60,000 with 10% bonus and an annual Christmas bonus.
