Cloud Security Consultant
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Consultant to reinforce our Azure environments with practical security controls, structured reviews, and collaboration with engineering teams.
* Configure and maintain Azure security services and baseline controls to ensure the highest level of security for our cloud infrastructure.
* Review identity, access patterns, and role assignments across subscriptions to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
* Support threat monitoring, log analysis, and alert response to quickly detect and respond to security threats.
* Assist with assessments, risk reviews, and environment hardening to ensure our cloud environment is secure and compliant with industry standards.
* Contribute to policy updates, internal standards, and documentation to ensure consistency and best practices in cloud security.
* Analyse vulnerability outputs and assist stakeholders with remediation steps to address identified security risks.
* Work with cloud engineers to embed security into new deployments to ensure a secure cloud environment from inception.
* Assist with investigations during security events or escalations to quickly resolve security incidents.
The ideal candidate will have practical experience with Azure security tooling (Defender, Sentinel, or similar), understanding of identity, access management, and network boundaries in cloud environments. They should be comfortable reviewing logs, alerts, and misconfiguration reports, and familiar with industry standards such as CIS, ISO, or NIST. Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams are essential. Certifications (AZ-500, SC-900, or related) are a bonus.
