Overview:
Our client is a well-established construction contractor delivering residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The company is recognized for its quality workmanship, strong safety culture, and collaborative, solutions-driven approach. They were founded in 1950 and have gone from strength to strength since then.
They are looking to hire a Senior Site Engineer for an ongoing construction project in Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Site Engineer is responsible for assisting the construction management team in the on-site control of the building elements of projects.
1. Supervise setting out engineers
2. Checks shuttering, steel and other dimensions prior to concrete pours and maintains materials reconciliation files
3. Check plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate
4. Liaise with subcontractors, clients and other professionals
5. Oversee quality control and health and safety on site
Requirements:
6. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
7. 4+ years' experience as a Site Engineer/Senior Site Engineer with a Main Contractor.
8. Experience using setting out equipment, for example total station, GPS and laser levels.
9. Knowledge of temporary works coordination.
10. Strong attention to detail and able to work on own initiative.
