You will be responsible for delivering a quality service to claimants and insurers while successfully settling their property claims.Specific Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To)Claimant relationship management & Third-party relationship management – ensuring continuity of contact and arranging appointmentsIn collaboration with claims support colleagues, conducting necessary pre-site inspection investigations and entering results and updates on the electronic file systemBased on a comprehensive grasp of the case and liaising with claim support colleagues, communicating an action plan to the claimant and/or third parties – specifying actions, time frames, and deadlinesIn collaboration with claim support colleagues, monitoring the life cycle of a claim and progress chasing (ensuring fulfilment of action plans)Proactive management of a portfolio of property claims of varying complexityApplying policy cover, terms and conditionsPreparing reports on the claim under investigationArranging interim payments, examining costs and achieving a settlementIdentifying suspect or fraudulent claims and dealing with the same in accordance with fraud guidelinesRecording and resolving customer complaintsExperienceDemonstrated experience in the Property (or Liability) Claims environment OR experience in Surveying / Engineering or a similar functionA minimum of 2 years claims experience in another insurance field could potentially be considered tooLoss Adjusting / Insurance claims experience highly advantageousQualifications/skillsAPA PL / CL Qualification essential (CIP or higher, desirable)High level of proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPointSound numeric skillsKnowledge of building structures with an understanding of building defects desirableFlexible with the ability to work outside normal working hours when the need arises - storms etcAbility to delicately deal with sensitive situationsHigh level interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skillsFull clean drivers licenseBenefits Of Working For Sedgwick In IrelandBike to Work SchemeTax Saver Travel SchemeDiscounted onsite Gym Membership (Dublin 4)Discounted onsite Montessori (Dublin 4)EAP – Employee Assistance ProgrammeHealth Insurance SchemeLife CoverPHI – Permanent Health InsuranceExams & Professional Membership FeesProfessional and personal development opportunitiesSedgwick Ireland is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI).
