The role
Lead Manufacturing Biotech Associate
We provide an exciting opportunity for a Lead Manufacturing Biotech Associate. This site‑based role requires working shifts, on a 24/7 basis, and focuses on delivering high‑quality biologic drug substance while supporting a culture of quality, EHS, learning, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities

Produce biologic drug substance on the assigned shift, act as a coach and technical point of contact for the shift team, and liaise with the manufacturing shift lead for ongoing operations.
Troubleshoot and problem‑solve in conjunction with leading self‑directed work teams in the processing area.
Progress an automated recipe using paperless technology to generate the drug substance.
Set up single‑use equipment between runs, carry out production according to world‑class GMP and EHS principles, and drive optimisation through standard work and lean processing techniques.
Focus on patient delivery while living the company culture, committing to safety, right‑first‑time execution, and engaging in peer and self‑development.
Coach or mentor peers on specific unit operations to support the value stream.
Lead and sponsor approved projects and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with site strategies.

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree Level 8 in a technical, engineering or science‑based discipline or equivalent.
At least 5 years of experience in biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry (preferably both) or equivalent.
Demonstrated leadership skills and track record of achieving outstanding results.
Proven record of accomplishments in a regulated industry, thorough knowledge of cGMP and general technical and biologic operations.
Ability to think logically, be proactive under pressure, and work constructively as part of a team or independently.
Proficiency with automated systems such as MES, SAP, Delta V, etc.
Experience with contamination control, batch release requirements, single‑use technologies, upstream and downstream unit operations.
