Occupational Therapy Service Lead
The position involves providing expert care to patients in acute medicine wards, working collaboratively with a team of occupational therapists and multidisciplinary colleagues.
Main Responsibilities:
* The service lead is accountable for delivering high-quality patient care and promoting the profile of occupational therapy within the organization.
* They must demonstrate sound clinical reasoning and expertise within the service area.
Key Requirements:
* A qualification approved by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU is mandatory.
* Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Occupational Therapy from NUI Galway, the University of Dublin or University College Cork or A Master of Science from the University of Limerick or A Diploma from a College of Occupational Therapy or recognised qualification at least equivalent.
* At least three years satisfactory post-qualification working experience as an occupational therapist in the adult acute hospital setting is required.
* Clinical experience working with any Acute Medicine, Care of the Elderly (COE) caseloads is essential.
Delivering Expert Patient Care
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering integrated expert services to meet the occupational therapy needs of our inpatient wards. They will work collaboratively with experienced teams of occupational therapists and multidisciplinary colleagues delivering our inpatient services.
