Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Role Summary
This position involves working as a key team member across the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept design to site inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Project Directors to establish project requirements and deliverables.
* Develop and implement effective mechanical design strategies that meet client needs and project briefs.
* Conduct thorough site inspections and attend technical meetings.
* Review technical submissions and verify installations on-site.
* Prepare BCAR inspection plans and oversee inspections at critical stages.
* Lead installation quality control efforts and monitor project progress.
* Ensure seamless design coordination with project teams and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* At least 5 years of mechanical design experience in a consultancy setting.
* A degree (Level 8) in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering (Chartership-recognised).
* In-depth knowledge of HVAC, water services, drainage, and Irish building regulations.
* Proficiency in Hevacomp, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
* Chartered or on track to achieve Chartered Engineer status within 18 months.
