Greenkeeper Vacancy
Powerscourt Golf Club is a 36-hole golfing destination situated in the beautiful Powerscourt Estate, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow. We are currently seeking to employ full-time senior greenkeepers.
Successful candidates need to be competent in a wide range of tasks associated with the daily presentation of the course. We are selling a golfing experience and expect all staff to have a keen eye for detail and a friendly manner while interacting with members and guests. The maintenance team carry out all cultural and cultivation practices in-house, the career orientated greenkeeper will get great exposure to all greenkeeping practices and will also be involved in the construction side of golf course maintenance as projects arise.
Requirements,
Qualified greenkeeper with 3 plus years of experience,
Have spray certificates and are competent in the safe handling and mixing of chemicals.
Have a valid driving licence,
This position requires a 39 hour working week with additional hours for weekend work,
Chainsaw certificate is preferred,
Irrigation repair is preferred.
Remuneration,
The rate of pay for this position ranges from €17 per hour to €18.50 per hour.
Overtime is paid at time plus a third for any hours worked over 39 hours a week and Sunday working is paid at time and two thirds.
If you meet all the requirements above and are competent in other aspects such as managing small crews, tractor driving, excavator driving, can complete projects and can repair irrigation, you can expect to be paid €18.50 per hour.
