Marketing Coordinator | Part Time Role | Galway, Ireland
About the Role
The Digital Marketing Coordinator is a role that supports Baboró's audience development activities. One function of the role will support digital communications to maintain and expand promotion of our annual festival and build awareness of our year-round work to all audiences.
Working closely with the Marketing Manager, you will support the communications of our annual festival each October, alongside our year-round work and engagement with our audiences and stakeholders. This will include content creation with an emphasis on video for Baboró's website and social media channels.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will report to Baboró's Marketing Manager and will work on gathering, writing, editing and publishing content for the website and social media channels. You will also support the delivery of festival communications and year-round activities.
● Planning content and communications with the Marketing Manager.
● Gathering, writing and editing content for the Baboró website, newsletter and organic/paid social media channels.
● Driving the content schedule for social media and newsletters.
● Sending regular newsletters to our different audience segments.
● Scheduling and publishing content on digital channels.
● Monitoring and responding to communications on social media channels.
●Designing social media graphics based on brand templates using tools such as Canva.
●Capture and edit video content for social media using tools such as Capcut.
● Liaising with team and festival stakeholders on content creation.
● Monthly tracking of digital analytics.
● Reporting on impact of content and campaigns.
Candidate Experience and Qualities
You can demonstrate excellent project management skills with the ability to build long-lasting relationships inside and outside the organisation. You are passionate about the arts and access to the arts for all children. You enjoy working as part of a small team and the buzz of a busy festival period. You have the ability to use your own creative freedom to produce engaging content.
Essential Skills and Experience:
● 2 years' experience in a marketing role.
●Experience managing social media channels and newsletter platforms such as Mailchimp and Meta.
● Experience planning and creating content for digital channels using tools such as Canva, Capcut or Adobe.
● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Experience creating effective ads on Meta.
●Can work effectively in a creative team and build strong working relationships and partnerships.
● Capacity to act on own initiative in a fast-paced festival environment.
● Fluency in English language, both oral and written.
● A friendly, warm and approachable personality.
● Attention to detail.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
● A working knowledge of Gaeilge or other languages.
● A passion for the creative arts for children and young people.
Terms and Benefits of Employment
Contract:
This is a part-time position of 2 days per week and offers a contract until December 31st 2027, subject to 6 months' probation.
Working Hours:
This is a part-time role for ideally 4 half or 2 full days per week. Scope of work and working hours are flexible with potential expansion to full time hours for September and October by agreement.
Baboró's office is located in Galway city centre. You should be based in Galway and available to work from our office.
Remuneration:
€13,600 per annum for 2 days per week (this is the pro rata rate based on full time salary of €34,000 gross).Additional paid hours in September and October by agreement.
Holidays:
8 annual leave days (pro rata leave for 2 days per week based on full time 20 annual leave days) plus up to 4 company days per annum, by agreement.
