Duties & Responsibilities
* Identify and maintain spare parts and tools to ensure timely maintenance of plant and equipment.
* Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repair optimal equipmentas required by preventative maintenance schedules and suggest improvements.
* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions.
* Ensure spare parts in stock for all major process’ and equipment.
* Supporting Production on a shift basis as required.
* Continuous improvement of production process equipment, by identifying and implementing improvement projects that will improve the operating effectiveness of equipment.
* Coordination and liaison with vendors, site contractors and external specialist contractors, engaged in work on site
* Performs maintenance in compliance with health and safety regulations, procedures and accepted practices.
* Reading, analysing and interpreting technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, to carry out work.
* Communicating existing and potential issues with Supervisor/Maintenance Manager.
* (Dis)Assembling/Installing new machines, conditioning & monitoring sensors/equipment etc.
Person Specification
* Experience of hands-on of mechanical and electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of pumps, motors, grinding & milling machines
* In depth knowledge and understanding of a variety of machines with respect to maintenance and repair
* Should have sufficient experience in pneumatic, hydraulics, mechanics, electrics
* Excellent Communication Skills.
* Strong Problem -Solving Skills.
* Good Team Member Skills.
* Well organised and ability to organise tasks.
* Available to work overtime including weekends, Public Holidays as required.
* Qualification in Industrial Automated Technician advantageous or background in Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical and/or Electrical Knowledge.
