Discover a Role Where You Can Truly Grow
Are you a Veterinary Surgeon ready to take the next step in your career – somewhere you'll be supported, encouraged, and given the space to learn?
At Kilcoole Vets, we believe in combining excellent medicine with genuine teamwork and a great work-life balance.
Whether your passion lies in surgery, medicine, or general practice, we'll help you develop your strengths while working alongside experienced vets who love to teach and collaborate.
Located just minutes from the sea in beautiful Co.
Wicklow, this is a chance to enjoy meaningful clinical work in an environment that values your wellbeing as much as your professional growth.
What Your Days Will Look Like
You'll be part of a small, supportive team where your opinion is valued and your skills will grow quickly.
Your days will include a mix of consultations, x-rays, blood work, and routine surgeries such as spays, castrations, lump removals, and dentals.
We offer a relaxed pace with 20 minute consults as standard and a loyal, caring client base.
40 hours per week, flexible 4- or 5-day schedule
1 in 3 Saturdays (9 am-2 pm)
No OOH, Sundays or Bank Holidays
100 % small animal caseload
You'll work alongside two experienced vets – one with a medical focus and one surgical – so there's always someone to bounce ideas off and learn from.
We're happy to support a junior vet with a strong foundation and a hunger to keep developing.
Why You'll Love Working Here
We're a Silver Standard Cat Friendly Clinic known for our high clinical standards, collaborative environment, and excellent team spirit.
You'll be part of a practice that genuinely cares about our patients, our clients, and each other.
Our facilities include:
Dental CR-7 X-ray and CR Radiography
Ultrasound and cold laser therapy

We currently have 2 veterinary surgeons (one surgical cert holder, one completing a medicine cert), 3 veterinary nurses, 2 receptionists and a practice manager.
We value open communication, mutual respect, and a team that support each other – both in and out of the clinic.
