As a key interface between Quality and R&D, you will work hands‑on with product development teams to proactively identify risks, support design assurance, and drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.You will also support Production, Test Engineering, and Process Quality teams in resolving complex product‑related issues, particularly those involving hardware and firmware functionality.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with R&D to influence product design for quality, reliability, and complianceReview schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware specifications to identify design risksLead design risk assessments (e.g., DFMEA) and support root cause investigationsSupport New Product Introduction (NPI), including validation and verification activitiesPartner with Purchasing and R&D on new vendor and component approvalsAnalyse and report on parametric test dataProvide quality oversight for hardware and software testingSupport Production and Test teams in resolving product‑related issuesEnsure traceability and compliance with internal and regulatory standardsDrive continuous improvement in design and quality processesRepresent Quality in design reviews and product development meetingsSupport audits and regulatory inspections related to design controlsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronic, Electrical, Software, or related)Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quality or R&D role within a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, automotive, life safety)Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and design controlsExperience with hardware/software integration and testingFamiliarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality standardsAbility to read and interpret electronic schematics and circuit designsExperience with FMEA, risk management, and root cause analysis toolsKnowledge of embedded systems, firmware, or software developmentStrong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skillsAbility to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test dataFor a confidential conversation about the role please apply for the role or contact Owen Clancy at oclancy@sterlingengineeringeu.com By applying to this job post you agree that Sterling Engineering may process your personal data for recruitment purpose
