Aon Global Risk Consulting (AGRC) provides a global network of over 800 Loss Control Engineers who support in-house brokers and clients. The engineering team reviews, assesses, and develops clients’ Loss Control Risk Management programs through on‑site audits, gap analysis, and collaboration with Site Management Teams and Client Risk Managers.
We work as in‑country departments offering auditing/reporting services, oversight of risk management programs, and day‑to‑day technical support, partnering with insurers to audit, analyze, and improve loss control arrangements at client facilities.

What The Day Will Look Like
The role involves on‑site auditing, problem solving, applying technical and industry standards, report preparation, and working closely with client risk managers across sectors such as container glass, pulp & paper, food & beverage, manufacturing, pharma, and retail.
Responsibilities include:
* Support clients in identifying, understanding, and improving risk.
* Undertake site audits and surveys; produce risk reports.
* Prioritise recommendations for risk improvement.
* Validate and prioritise insurance company and third‑party risk improvement recommendations.
* Act as liaison between client and insurance companies on technical risk engineering matters.
* Build and maintain relationships with direct clients outside the Aon network.
* Support the broking process with concise risk engineering insights.
* Lead projects and coordinate with Aon resources.
* Research and develop solutions (e.g., sprinkler protection, explosion protection, building fire safety).
* Provide formal written reports and verbal presentations.
Qualifications
* Undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Chemical Engineering or related field.
* At least 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing or project management.
* Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external clients.
* Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Confidence to make decisions and hold accountability.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Independent workload management and teamwork.
* Interest in ongoing learning and development.
* Full clean driving licence.
* Willingness to travel within Ireland and abroad.
