Overview of the Role
We are looking for experienced EICA engineers to join our multidisciplinary Water Utilities Division. You will work on projects such as water treatment, distribution, wastewater recycling, industrial process water, desalination, irrigation, hydropower and flood defence. You will provide specialist technical support across the full project lifecycle from feasibility studies through detailed design, construction support and commissioning to handover.
Responsibilities
* Lead electrical and control system design for water and wastewater projects.
* Develop plant layouts, cabling and instrumentation selection, and conduct lightning protection assessments.
* Write system control strategies and perform factory and site acceptance tests.
* Ensure designs meet legislation, standards and are fit for purpose.
* Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other electrical engineers.
Candidate specification
Essential
* Qualified to HND level or higher in electrical, electronic or control engineering or related discipline.
* Chartered status with the Institution of Engineering and Technology or an equivalent body.
* Ten years or more of electrical and/or control engineering design experience.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Understanding of prioritising health, safety and environmental issues.
Desirable
* Master’s degree in electrical, electronic or control engineering or related discipline.
* Experience in the water and or wastewater industry.
* Good understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes.
