Job Title: Chef de Partie/ Breakfast Chef
Salary: € 17.30 per hour
Location - Kilkenny City
Total Hours Per Week: 40
Days Per Week - Monday – Friday 5 days
Shift Pattern : 6:30 am – 3:30 pm

A chef de partie who can run the kitchen on his own and provide high-quality meals and to comply with the client, company, and statutory regulations. Apositive work attitude, being adaptable, self-starting and a team player who will complete integrate in our successful team.
You should be competent in
* Fast paced breakfast and lunch service
* Working on their own initiative, making decisions, culinary knowledge, and techniques
* Prioritizing tasks effectively
* Working knowledge of Food Safety Regulation
* Ability to work as part of a team with a positive working attitude.
* Adaptable and flexible within the role.
To fulfil your duties, you need to:
* Ensure the production of food is to the highest quality and service standards
* Actively build good guest rapport
* To assist at any special duties or functions if required
* Attend meetings, courses and training sessions as may be necessary from time to time
* Relieve and assist in other areas within the unit or other establishments.
* 3 years' experience in a kitchen
Job Dimensions:
1. Practical
* Greet and Feed staff/ guests/residents in a polite and friendly manner
* Cooking by the menu
* Cleaning of the kitchen after use and maintain a clean kitchen
* Food orders as per menu
* Work with the menus together with manager on duty
* Handle deliveries according to procedures
2. Customer Relations
* Encourage good relations with all colleagues on site
* Promptly deal with any queries or complaints from manager
3. Training
* Partake in basic induction training for new staff
* Partake in ongoing training from supervisor
* Use of Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment (w/a)
4.HSEQ
* Understand how ISO fits into daily business operations.
* Read, understand and work in accordance with the company's HSEQ Policies.
* Complete tasks in accordance with company HSEQ procedures and work instructions.
* Support the implementation, operation and continuous improvement of our HSEQ Management Systems at site level.
* Manage non-conformances and complaints and record centrally.
* Focus on customer needs and expectations.
* Cascade relevant HSEQ information to your direct reports and front-line employees.
* Ensure safe work practices and procedures are followed on site
* Use of Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment (w/a)
* Understand how ISO fits into daily business operations
* Read, understand and work in accordance with the company's HSEQ Policies
* Complete tasks in accordance with company HSEQ procedures and work instructions
Other features of the job
It may be necessary to work alternative hours, shift patterns or unsociable hours, including weekends and sometimes more than contracted hours. As part of your job, you will be expected to attend training events and/or meetings and travel to other locations may be required. Local requirements will govern your patterns and locations of work.
