Warehouse Manager – Robinson Distribution Ltd
Robinson Distribution Ltd is currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our expanding business.
Robinsons are a leading engineering company specialising in the manufacture of trailers, tippers, truck bodies, and cranes. We are based in Portnahinch, Portarlington, Co. Laois (R32 CD40), with sales both locally and overseas.
Duties
Managing parts, including a high volume of varied components coming in and going out.
Maintaining strong knowledge of parts; ideally suited to someone from the motor trade, manufacturing, or a similar background familiar with items such as axles, wheels, bolts, etc.
Operating a forklift to load and unload goods and completing associated paperwork in a timely manner.
Experience unloading oversized pallets and stillages.
Liaising with customers to understand technical requirements for parts and preparing dispatch documentation.
Carrying out stock counts and taking full ownership of factory stock.
Organising stock efficiently, including the use of software systems to allocate and forecast future stock requirements.
Proactively organising the stores to maximise efficiency for assembly bay picking and customer dispatch.
Carrying out general maintenance duties around the factory as required.
Raising purchase orders for consumables and other stock as needed.
Training and supervising junior members of the stores team.
Working in a process-driven manner, maintaining existing processes and continually seeking improvements.
Full training will be provided.
Requirements
Good working knowledge of machinery.
Previous experience in a busy manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Knowledge of engineering, plant machinery, or agricultural machinery is an advantage.
Ability to manage and supervise team members.
Proficient in computer operations.
Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent communication skills.
