Key Responsibilities
1. Pricing Management: Develop and maintain sea freight pricing policy in conjunction with the commercial director and head office. Oversee current pricing policies, liaising with trade managers and internal sales team.
2. Financial Performance: Manage approved commercial budget in conjunction with the local commercial director and head office. Review commercial budgets to ensure teams are on track and identify areas for improvement.
3. Business Growth: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customer portfolios and future key-account programs. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and market conditions, recommending business development opportunities. Target new business accounts on all trades, working with commercial teams and global agents overseas.
4. Team Management: Lead and guide local trade managers, assisting them with commercial team management. Develop commercial teams to meet expectations of local management and head office. Review performance reports for commercial director and head office.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 12 years' commercial experience in container shipping or freight forwarding industries, with at least 3 years in a senior commercial management position.
* Familiarity with CRM applications and Microsoft Office software packages.
* Full clean EU driving license and bachelor's degree or higher in a business-related discipline.
