Salary: €55,000 – €65,000
We're recruiting for a Head Chef to take charge of the kitchen in a well-established, busy local pub in South Dublin.
This role suits a hands-on chef who enjoys producing solid, homemade gastro-style food in a fast-paced, casual environment.
Key Responsibilities
Run the day-to-day kitchen operation in a high-volume pub setting
Deliver a consistent menu of fresh, homemade dishes with a gastro focus
Lead, train, and organise a small kitchen team
Manage ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships
Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards are met
Take responsibility for kitchen costs, margins, and overall financial performance
Requirements
Previous experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef in a pub or casual dining environment
Background in fresh food with a focus on simple, well-executed dishes
Good understanding of food safety and compliance
Ability to manage costs and keep the kitchen running efficiently
Practical, reliable, and comfortable working in a hands-on role
