Job Description
Join A-techSYN and become part of an innovative team developing and supporting advanced unmanned aviation systems. We are seeking a hands‑on MRO Technician to support UAV maintenance, testing, flight operations, and field deployments in a fast‑paced aviation environment.
About A-techSYN: A-techSYN Ltd is an Irish developer of advanced Unmanned Aviation Systems (UAS) based in Shannon, Co. Clare. We design, manufacture, and support UAV platforms including VTOL fixed‑wing aircraft and target drone systems for defence, security, and commercial applications. Our team works on cutting‑edge aviation technologies in a rapidly growing industry.
Key Responsibilities
UAV Maintenance & Flight Operations: prepare UAVs for flight operations; perform pre‑flight and post‑flight inspections; conduct return‑to‑workshop inspections and report faults or damage; support flight operations, testing, and field activities; travel within Ireland and internationally.
Maintenance & Documentation: carry out maintenance and basic repairs; follow company procedures and quality standards; complete maintenance records and technical documentation accurately; assist with troubleshooting and fault finding.
Assembly & Integration: assemble UAV components; support aircraft integration, demonstrations, and testing activities; prepare tools and equipment for operations.
Quality & Support: work in line with ISO9001 standards; identify and report recurring faults or improvement opportunities; support customer demonstrations, training, and technical support activities; work closely with engineering, operations, and flight teams.
Education & Experience
Level 6 qualification in Engineering, Aircraft Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
Previous technical, workshop, apprenticeship, or internship experience is desirable.

Minimum Experience Required: 2 years.
Minimum Qualification: Level 6 (including Higher Advanced Certificate & National Craft Certificate).
