Project Engineer - Packaging
Team Horizon is seeking a Project Engineer - Packaging for a leading manufacturing company in Mayo.

What you will be doing:
* Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring assigned engineering projects.
* Collaborating with the project manager and other project participants, including senior engineers, to create efficient project methods and maintain profitability.
* Reviewing engineering tasks, initiating corrective actions, and developing specifications for needed equipment.
* Conducting quality inspections during project construction phases, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, policies, standards, and specifications.
* Providing engineering services to maximize the availability of all site process equipment and utilities.
* Understanding material and component impacts on lines and equipment performance, and implementing solutions accordingly.
* Reviewing component drawings to ensure alignment with equipment performance for maximum output and minimal waste.
* Experience with warehouse equipment, conveyors, cranes, robot picking, warehouse management systems, and print & apply labelling systems.
* Managing capital projects and process improvements.
* Experience with PLCs & SCADA systems.
* Implementing preventative maintenance systems.
* Performing other duties as assigned.
What you need to apply:
* Third-level qualification in Engineering or equivalent in Process, Chemical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing and engineering, including planning, design, installation, and commissioning in a GMP environment.
* Experience in requirements analysis, design, project management, process improvement, technical understanding, documentation, and risk management.
* Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
* Previous experience with high-speed packaging lines.
