Exyte currently have an opportunity for a Director of Global Opportunity Management within our Biopharma Life Science team based within one of our global offices. The successful person will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and opportunities.
The Director of Global Opportunity Management is a valuable member of the Global Biopharma Life Sciences Business Acquisition Team at Exyte which drives the internal processes for strategic pursuits and helps build relationships with key internal clients in accordance with our business acquisition processes and governance procedures. The Director of Global Opportunity Management works collaboratively with the Global Biopharma Life Science Business Acquisition Teams, including Proposal Management Teams, Business Development, Marketing and Sales Funnell Management to develop, maintain and advance Exytes offering to our clients. The Director of Global Opportunity Management consistently advocates and adheres to sales process, procurement integrity and risk mitigation guidelines.
The Director of Global Opportunity Management will collaborate with regional teams, fostering a strong business relationship for a unified vision across diverse operational landscapes. Ensures strategic alignment targeted at strengthening targeted at strengthening the opportunity pipeline, increasing internal sales efficiency and performance. Facilitate cross-functional communications, fostering a cohesive approach to implementing frameworks that align activities throughout the business acquisition cycle
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Drive Global Business Unit (GBU) / Regional Business Units (RBU) Sales Pipeline reporting through Salesforce
* Be a highly skilled and proactive Salesforce Superuser to support and optimize our use of the Salesforce CRM system across the organization, ensuring the platform is used effectively, efficiently, and in line with business objectives.
* Have deep knowledge of Salesforce functionality and be able to train users, troubleshoot issues, support reporting needs, and recommend improvements.
* Coordinate Salesforce and manage associated dashboards for reporting purposes to the Global Business Unit, Regional Business Unit, Strategy Team & the Board.
Manage and coordinate Strategic Bids across GBU and RBU’s
* Align priorities and activities of the opportunity management organization with the larger strategic objectives
* Manage coordination of all Tera Risk reviews globally including liaising with Risk & Legal departments to ensure alignment prior to bids being submitted to clients.
Develop Opportunity management teams, and drive relationships with Internal stakeholders
* Foster a learning and improvement culture, emphasizing the importance of shared knowledge, global collaboration, and informed decision-making
* Build and grow high-functioning regional teams across all global regions through staff development, coaching, mentoring and performance management
Develop tools and systems across GBU and RBU’s to support all stages of Business Acquisition
* Drive a shared understanding of the sales process and communicate a consistent framework for opportunity and proposal management to standardize practices across the global organization.
* Promote and champion the use of data-driven and global approaches throughout the opportunity acquisition lifecycle
* Liaise with other RBU Opportunity Management Teams to identify synergies and share best practices
Show your expertises
* Bachelor’s degree in in Life Science Engineering, Business Marketing or technical or related discipline from College or university. Similar working level obtained through relevant job experience may be accepted in lieu of degree level education.
* Minimum 5 years sales experience in Life Science Industry
* Strong self-starter who is target driven and thrives on success – track record of being a part of a sales team that achieved and exceeded sales targets
* A (strong) passion for networking on an local & international level
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in and outside the company
* Ability to develop effective global and regional cross-functional relationships
Excellent communicator (verbal & written) with strong presentation and negotiation skills
* Ability to be flexible and to adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations or individuals
* Ability to balance and effectively prioritise a heavy and pressured workload in order to meet deadlines, including when travelling for business needs
* Professional who is experienced and dependable with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
