We are seeking an experienced Ecological Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecological consultancy, with a minimum of 4/5 years post-graduate experience. They will be responsible for managing ecology contracts, providing ecological input into various projects, conducting and overseeing fieldwork, and preparing technical reports.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing ecology contracts and ensuring delivery of high-quality consultancy services.
* Providing ecological input into wind farms, road schemes, and commercial developments.
* Conducting and overseeing ecological fieldwork and species/habitat surveys.
* Preparing and reviewing Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).
* Leading the preparation of Appropriate Assessments (AA), Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), and Biodiversity chapters for EIARs.
* Writing and reviewing detailed technical reports.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* Degree in Ecology or a related discipline.
* Minimum 4/5 years' relevant post-graduate experience in consultancy.
* Full membership (or eligibility) of CIEEM, CIWEM, or a similar professional body.
* Strong technical report writing and project management skills.
* In-depth knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation.
* Full clean driving licence (required for site travel).
