Required for mechanical & electrical design consultancy with a large variety of commercial, residential and light industrial clients.
The company has consolidated several excellent clients with repeat work and is looking to expand the team by recruiting an intermediate / senior level mechanical design engineer to work in our offices in Arklow, Co. Wicklow. The role is permanent and with a package as per the details below and can be adapted to suit. This role is an opportunity to mechanically lead and shape a growing company. Most of our work is Dublin based, however meetings and site attendance are scheduled during off peak traffic hours.
Duties:
* Attendance design team meeting and representing the company
* Mechanically leading the company and targeting new standards and good quality of design
* Mechanical drafting and design in AutoCAD (Revit if available)
* Prepare design calculations, specifications and reports
* Production of both outline and detailed design, and construction drawings
* Undertake feasibility studies and investigative reports
* Periodic site attendance and inspections for snagging & verification
* Utilising design software packages with high levels of attention to detail and formatting abilities
Requirements:
* Bachelors or Masters' Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
* Typically, around 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
* A team player with good oral and written communication skills
* Financially astute with effective planning and organisation skills
* Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges qualifications & experience
* Willingness to learn and challenge for better delivery of service to our clients.
* Mechanical or other relevant trade background welcome
Salary:
* Salary commensurate with the candidate's skills and experience to be discussed.
