Meet the team
The Sales Team at RTÉ is responsible for managing and growing commercial relationships with media agencies and clients, ensuring strong investment across RTÉ's full media portfolio.
About the role
Own full commercial performance, delivering revenue growth across assigned agencies and clients through strong pipeline management and consistent target delivery
Apply deep knowledge of RTÉ's revenue streams and market dynamics to shape business strategy, annual planning, and investment decisions
Build and lead senior level agency and client relationships as the primary strategic partner, shaping commercial priorities and long-term value
Develop high impact, insight led commercial solutions, including major cross platform proposals that drive incremental revenue and strengthen RTÉ's market position
Monitor and optimise revenue performance through forecasting, analysis, and risk mitigation to maximise income opportunities
Represent RTÉ as an industry expert, maintaining strong market visibility, tracking cultural and media trends, and converting insights into commercial opportunities
About you
Proven commercial leader with a strong track record of driving revenue growth and elevating team and client performance
Deep cross platform media expertise across TV, audio, digital, VOD and sponsorship, with clear evidence of delivering impactful client outcomes
Strong client leadership credentials, able to build senior relationships, unlock incremental investment, and deliver commercially effective solutions
Strategic, insight led thinker who translates data, market intelligence, and revenue trends into clear commercial actions
Exceptional communicator and influencer, confidently representing RTÉ with authority to senior agency and client stakeholders
Commercially creative problem solver who develops innovative, high value cross-platform media solutions
High market presence, actively engaged in the industry and comfortable in public, external-facing environments
Familiarity with ad tech, audience data, measurement tools, and emerging digital video/CTV capabilities to support RTÉ's evolving digital proposition
Nice to have
Skilled negotiator with experience structuring complex multi-platform deals, addressing commercial challenges, and securing high value senior partnerships
Proven success leading persuasive, insight driven pitches and presentations that clearly articulate value, win briefs, and shift client investment strategies
Demonstrated ability to grow share within competitive accounts, winning business from competitors, defending spend, and expanding RTÉ's presence within key agencies
Strong technical proficiency across PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and the wider Microsoft Office suite

Conditions
This appointment will be made at the Manager Grade 3 scale and is being offered on an ongoing full-time contract basis.
The salary scale for this grade is from €50,285 to €84,381 gross per annum.
