Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our infrastructure project in Tarbert, Kerry.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Liaising with internal and external teams, including planning, construction, design, commercial, and health, safety, quality, and environmental (HSQE) departments;
* Liaising with local authorities, utility providers, and statutory authorities;
* Ensuring a thorough understanding of the project scope;
* Checking and understanding specifications, drawings, and contract documents;
* Setting out, levelling, and surveying the site according to the drawings and specification;
* Preparing labour, plant, and material returns;
* Preparing as-built drawings, technical reports, and site diaries;
* Liaising with the purchasing department to ensure purchase orders meet the specified requirements;
* Requisitioning materials and plant;
* Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, site supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the workforce;
* Managing the site daily, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and subcontractors;
* Resolving technical issues with employer representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and statutory authorities;
* Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE):
o Familiarity with current HSE legislation and company HSQE management systems;
o Compliance with all safety requirements;
o Creating method statements and risk assessments for works;
o Preparing and briefing toolbox talks;
o Reporting unsafe situations observed;
o Carrying out work safely and taking precautions when working near public roads or water;
o Wearing necessary protective clothing or equipment;
o Assuming temporary site agent role regarding health, safety, and environment during absence of site manager;
* Quality Control:
o Familiarity with company procedures, method statements, quality plans, inspection, and test plans;
o Planning:
+ Liaising with foremen to plan and review upcoming works;
+ Carrying out post-construction analysis for future planning;
+ Assisting with creating budgets for projects;
+ Familiarity with form of contract, implications of variations, and change orders on program and costs;
+ Familiarity with construction program, constraints, and implications of overruns on costs and manpower;
+ Liaising with project manager/planner regarding construction program, constraints, etc.
Requirements:
* MSc/degree in engineering to support competency in role;
* Min 4-5 years experience as setting out engineer;
* Preferably studied modules in Water/Wastewater;
* Relevant experience on similar projects;
* A commitment to carrying out the project safely and in an environmentally friendly manner.
