Clinical Nurse Manager I – Tissue Viability & Dermatology
Location: Tralee, IrelandJob Type: Part‑time (Specified Purpose)Hours: 34.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership in Tissue Viability and Dermatology, ensuring high standards of patient care and best practice.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with complex wounds and dermatological conditions.
Act as a specialist resource and advisor to nursing staff and the multidisciplinary team.
Promote evidence‑based practice in wound management, pressure‑ulcer prevention, and skin integrity.
Develop, implement, and monitor care plans and clinical protocols related to tissue viability.
Deliver education, training, and support to staff on wound care and dermatology practices.
Conduct audits, monitor outcomes, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards and hospital policies.
Liaise with consultants, GPs, and allied healthcare professionals to support patient care pathways.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting in line with regulatory and organisational standards.
Requirements
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Minimum of 3 years post‑registration experience in an acute care setting.
Proven experience in Tissue Viability and/or Dermatology.
Postgraduate qualification in Tissue Viability and/or Dermatology is desirable.
Strong computer literacy and proficiency in clinical systems.
