Process Technician Job Description
As a Process Technician, you will play a key role in the Engineering team by designing and creating manufacturing documentations that meet company and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support production by creating and validating CNC part programs for CNC lathes and mills.
* Change G Code to ensure the first part meets drawing specifications.
* Provide assistance with Tooling, Jigs & Fixtures.
* Support manufacturing through effective troubleshooting and implementation of corrective measures.
* Train operators/line leads/trainers on process changes/enhancements.
* Provide technical support to Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality departments.
Additional Duties:
* Support engineers in designing standard products.
* Provide cost analysis to Sales using standard templates.
* Create item masters, bills of material (BOM), and routing for all manufactured products.
* Ensure optimum selection of efficient manufacturing methods.
* Ensure optimum selection of raw materials, liaise with purchasing if correct material is not available.
* Create manufacturing drawings using Autocad.
* Adhere to all Engineering/Manufacturing Change Request/Order controls.
A 3rd level Engineering qualification is desired but not essential. Proficiency in drafting techniques, including 2D and 3D CAD, is required. General understanding of Engineering standards and practices is necessary. Experience in manufacturing techniques and materials in a machine shop environment is desirable.
