Eir Business Talent are currently inviting applications for a Management Accountant is a12 month contract position.
The role is based in Dublinand operates on ahybrid working model(3 days in the office / 2 days remote) Role Overview Project Financial Management Specialist Experience: 5+ years Project Financial Management Maintain accurate financial records for all IT projects, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, commitments, and accruals.
Monitor project spend against approved budgets, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
Support the monthly financial close process, ensuring completeness and accuracy of accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments.
Prepare monthly project P&L and balance sheet reporting packs.
Manage the full financial lifecycle of projects from initiation through to closure.
Capex & Opex Accounting Perform Capex vs.
Opex assessments in accordance with IFRS/GAAP standards and internal policies.
Ensure proper capitalization of IT development, hardware, software, and internal labor costs.
Maintain fixed asset registers for IT assets, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and impairments.
Business Partnering Collaborate closely with IT Project Managers, PMO teams, and vendors to understand project milestones, resource requirements, risks, and financial impacts.
Provide financial guidance to project managers to strengthen cost control, forecasting accuracy, and financial governance.
Facilitate monthly project review meetings with IT leadership.
Budgeting & Forecasting Support the annual budgeting cycle and quarterly reforecasts for IT project spend.
Develop detailed financial models, including multi-year Capex planning.
Provide insights into spend phasing, cost-to-complete projections, and resource allocation.
Controls, Governance & Compliance Ensure IT project financials comply with corporate finance policies and accounting standards.
Maintain comprehensive documentation and audit trails for project expenditures.
Support internal and external audit processes as required.
Review vendor invoices, purchase orders, and contracts to ensure financial alignment and approval compliance.
