Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Key responsibilities include:
* Operating the switchboard: answering phones, recording details for follow-up consultations with information officers
* Managing reception: interacting with clients, managing queues, setting client expectations regarding wait times
* Providing simple non-confidential information and advice at reception
* Assisting callers in scheduling appointments with relevant clinics (e.g., FLAC, Local specialist clinics)
* Preventing overcrowding at reception
* Supporting staff in the interview rooms
* Supporting volunteer staff
* Inputting information into CIS data collection systems
* Monitoring reception emails when directed
* Reporting on Social Policy issues
* Handling administrative tasks: mail shots, photocopying, recording incoming and outgoing post, Scheme Worker rota, collecting customer feedback (surveys, comment cards, etc.)
* Ensuring the Citizens Information Service has an adequate stock of publications, information leaflets, application forms, etc.
* Assisting the Development Manager with office work
* Attending regular team meetings
* Performing duties as assigned by the Development Manager
