Role Overview
Our clients are seeking an ambitious and high-performing Corporate Tax Manager to join their progressive and forward-thinking Tax team. As a Tax Manager, you will lead the preparation and delivery of R&D Tax Credit claims, working closely with clients to identify and assess qualifying expenditure. You will gain valuable insight into the impact of government innovation incentives and play a key role in helping businesses maximise these benefits.
The role involves significant client interaction and close collaboration with colleagues across all levels, including senior leadership and partners.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse client operations and financial data to identify qualifying the expenditure and optimise available incentives
Develop and apply appropriate methodologies to support tax claims
Plan, manage, and deliver the financial aspects of client engagements, including liaising with client finance teams
Oversee multiple client projects to ensure timely delivery and high-quality service
Support clients during Revenue authority queries, reviews, or audits
Mentor and develop junior team members
Conduct technical research to support client work and contribute to internal and external thought leadership
Identify opportunities to expand services and provide additional value to clients
Assist in achieving team financial targets, including fee management and collections
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
CTA qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience
Strong technical expertise in corporate tax and/or R&D tax incentives
High level of attention to detail and analytical ability
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong client service focus
Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
Commercially aware with the ability to identify growth opportunities
