Overview
We are currently seeking a Graduate Environmental Officer to join our team at Breedon Cement, Kinnegad.
As a Graduate Environmental Officer you will be responsible for:
Assisting in the daily running of the environmental department and monitoring of key environmental indicators.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring on-going compliance with the site's Industrial Emissions license.
Assisting in the maintenance of the site's environmental management systems (ISO *****, BES ****).
Undertaking field sampling and conduct laboratory analysis on surface and groundwater samples.
Undertaking land surveying.
Assisting in regular site environmental inspections.
Assisting with environmental complaints, incidents and non-compliances.
The preparation of environmental reports and records, as required.
Ensuring the compliance with the Company Health and Safety Regulations and policies.
Demonstrating flexibility and the ability to undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the daily business needs on matters arising.
Effectively managing the working week to meet reporting and task completion deadlines.
Traveling to various sites within the Group (Cavan and Laois) regularly, as required.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
A degree/diploma in the environmental field.
Strong written and communication skills.
High attention to detail and organisation.
Full, clean driving license is required.
1-2 years' experience is preferred but not a pre-requisite.
