We are seeking a junior/midlevel .Net developer for a contract position at our development office in Cork. This will be a technically challenging position, working on a major enterprise application. The role will require constant interaction with other developers in the team and project management to develop and maintain a robust, scalable, and performant system.
Responsibilities
1. Requirements Analysis & Application Design
2. Providing accurate estimates and timings to project managers
3. Daily interaction with clients to facilitate successful project implementation
4. Becoming a subject matter expert on client business processes, for example claims pricing and payment, provider networks and group/member structures
5. Delivery of application development using standard web development methodologies
6. Mentoring other developers within a project team & Peer code review
7. Self-motivating toward on time delivery of high-quality outputs
8. Ensuring all QA procedures are satisfied in terms of process and documentation
9. Adhere to and promote internal information security policies and procedures
Job Requirements
Must Have:
1. Commercial development experience (3+ years) in .Net 4.8, .NET Core, and MVC 5
2. Good working knowledge of MS SQL Server including Strong T-SQL (Stored Procedure) skills
Nice to Have:
1. ADA Development experience
2. AWS Cloud experience
Personal Profile
1. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
2. Ability to learn new business areas quickly
3. Technical degree or equivalent experience
4. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
5. Desire to develop your own knowledge by keeping abreast of latest development tools and techniques, attending workshops and reviewing technical publications
Please note this is a daily rate contract position. Candidates who apply must be eligible to work in Ireland holding either EU Citizenship or appropriate visa. Visa is required in advance of applying for this position. 8 West Consulting do not provide sponsorship for this role.
