We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join the team in our Ennis store starting as soon as possible. The position is for 4 days a week ( 32+ hours) across Monday to Saturday, and timetabling is displayed well in advance.
This position may suit an applicant that seeks a career change from supermarket or pharmacy, with prospects to grow their role in a small family run health food business.
The ideal Sales Assistant will:
· Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Have a thirst for knowledge and enjoy continual professional learning.
· Have the ability to work under their own initiative as well as part of a team.
· Be comfortable driving sales and upselling where possible.
Duties of a Sales Assistant:
· Carrying out store duties such as packing out stock, date rotation, receiving orders, dealing with queries from customers etc. in a proficient and timely manner
· Ensure the culture of excellent customer service is maintained.
· Ensuring high store standards of cleanliness, merchandising and compliance with health & safety.
· Effective merchandising and display of product offering.
· Key holder – opening and closing of the store when the Store Manager is absent.
Requirements for the role of a Sales Assistant:
· Minimum two years retail experience.
· Previous health food store or pharmacy experience an advantage and would increase the wage offered.
· Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
· A passion for excellent customer service.
· An interest in nutrition and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
· Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
· The ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
· A desire to work as part of a team to generate fresh and innovative ideas.
· A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and improve.
· Good computer skills.
