Provide high quality and insightful Industrial Relations, HR and Advocacy services to our members. The Employer Relations Executive also has responsibility for building effective working relationships with key member contacts, relevant agencies and Ibec colleagues.
The successful person will be a seasoned practitioner who can work independently when needed and be an effective member of a small regional team while also developing strong engagement and relationships with the broader ER team.

ABOUT THE ROLE
* Provide direct advisory and advocacy services to members,seekingalways to add value to the business
* Provide specialist industrial relations and human resource support to members
* Represent member companies before third party employment bodies
* Represent member companies in union/company negotiations
* Maintain a strong business partnership relationship with membersensuring an excellent member experience
* Develop written contributions for Ibec publications asrequired
* Provide input to Ibec training coursesin the area ofIndustrial Relations/Human Resource
* Deliver trainingin the area ofIndustrial Relations/Human Resource
* Represent the interests of employers on external committees
* Be an active participant on various Ibec project teams asrequired
* Keep abreast of employmentlaw,industrialrelationsand human resource developments
* Liaise with member companiesregardingsubscription payments with the view to obtainingtimelysettlement.
* Promote and support membership development initiatives

Qualifications
* Primary degreerequired.Human Resource/Industrial Relations/Employment Law related qualification preferable
* Other relevant qualifications
* Full clean driving licence is essential
Knowledge
* Comprehensive knowledge of Employment Law and its application in unionised andnon-unionisedworkplaces
* Industrial Relations and Human Resource Developments in Ireland and globally
* Understanding of the role of thethird-partyindustrial relations and employment institutions in Ireland
* Competitive,regulatoryand cost issues facing business in Ireland
* Insight into the business environmentinthemid-west/westof Ireland an advantage
Experience
* Industrial Relations/Human Resource experience and/or people management experience
* Experience inrepresentingcompanies at 3rd party industrial relations institutionsan advantage
* Interfacing regularly withSenior Company Executives up to CEO level
* Working in a representative/consultancy capacity for business
* Working in a team environment
