As our retail portfolio continues to expand and evolve, we are seeking a Head of Retail to lead all aspects of our on-property and digital retail experience.
About the Role
As Head of Retail, you will oversee the full retail ecosystem of Adare Manor, including Harry Lowe's, The Boutique, the Adare Manor Online Shop, the Golf Pro Shop, Padel Club and future retail developments.
You will shape and execute our retail strategy, elevate product curation, and ensure our retail operations reflect the exceptional standards of the resort.
Reporting to the Director of Estate Operations, you will collaborate closely with Purchasing, Finance, Marketing, Golf, Culinary, and external suppliers to deliver an elevated, commercially strong, luxurious retail experience across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the end-to-end retail strategy across all retail outlets and online platforms.
Oversee daily operational excellence across Harry Lowe's, The Boutique, Online Shop, Golf Pro Shop, Padel Club and any future retail ventures.
Curate and develop luxury product ranges aligned with the Adare Manor brand, collaborating with internal teams and premium suppliers.
Manage buying, procurement, stock planning, and inventory control to ensure optimal stock levels and strong commercial performance.
Ensure all retail spaces maintain exceptional visual merchandising, product presentation, and brand integrity.
Drive sales performance through KPI management, data analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead the ongoing development of the Online Shop, ensuring seamless UX, product accuracy, fulfilment quality, and revenue growth.
Elevate the guest experience by embedding Forbes, LQA, and Adare Manor service standards across all retail interactions.
Oversee recruitment, development, coaching, and performance management of the retail team, fostering a culture of luxury service and accountability.
Support the creation and execution of promotional initiatives, product launches, and retail partnerships.
Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures, safety policies, audit requirements, and operational standards.
Provide regular financial and operational reporting to senior leadership.
Who You Are
We are seeking a retail leader operating at the top of their game; commercially strong, guest-obsessed, and deeply attuned to luxury product environments.
You will thrive in this role if you have:
Extensive experience in luxury retail management, ideally in hospitality, premium retail, or lifestyle brands.
A proven track record driving sales performance across multi-site retail operations.
Strong buying, merchandising, and stock-management expertise.
Experience leading high-performing teams in a luxury or premium environment.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and supplier negotiation skills.
A passion for exceptional guest experience, craftsmanship, and brand storytelling.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with agility to manage multiple priorities.
