The future for both BFree and the category is exciting. To reinforce growth and drive breakthrough innovation, we’re looking for a passionate, experienced Concept / Test Baker to strengthen our in-house bakery expertise.
Reporting to the Head of Food, you’ll proactively lead the technological development of recipes, products, processes and packaging. As a relentless bakery experimenter, you will bring ideas from outside in to deliver the best possible products from day one.
From bakery concept development and R&D trials through to machinery innovation, technology and troubleshooting, this is a broad, highly creative remit that requires liaising with multiple internal functions, external suppliers, co-manufacturers and research bodies. Significant local and international travel will be key to success.

We’re keen to talk to creative, commercial, R&D-focused Bakers with a solid track record in large-scale bread bakery, ideally reinforced by an advanced food science / tech qualification. A strong interest or working experience in gluten-free is advantageous. An upbeat, ambitious, passionate personality with a can-do, hands-on attitude is a must.

Responsibilities
* Lead technological development of recipes, products, processes and packaging for gluten-free bakery products.
* Drive concept development and R&D trials, including machinery innovation and related troubleshooting.
* Collaborate with multiple internal functions, external suppliers, co-manufacturers and research bodies.
* Travel locally and internationally to support projects and partnerships.
