Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician We are currently seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our dynamic team based out of our HQ premises. With two open positions Location Based out of HQ, Tipperary with sites mainly in the Southeast Region of Ireland. Based out of Cork site, with sites mainly in the Southwest Region of Ireland. Type Permanent, Full-Time Role Purpose The ideal candidate with at least 2 years of proven experience in the industrial, water & wastewater sector. Key Responsibilities The role will primarily involve preventative and reactive electrical and instrumentation work in the water and wastewater industry Calibration, configuration and servicing of on-site instrumentation including pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, conductivity, level and flow monitoring equipment Loop checking and signal verification from field instruments through to motor control centres, PLCs and SCADA, including control function verification Fault finding and resolution of electrical, instrumentation and control system issues using HART communicators and standard diagnostic tools Ability to follow control panel and P&ID schematics and troubleshoot control panel and instrumentation faults Install, wire, commission and set up configuration of the full range of variable speed drives, DOL, star delta starters and associated control gear Support PLC, telemetry and SCADA commissioning activities, including I/O verification and assisting with software changes on site Liaise with Area Supervisors, Managers and the automation team on electrical and instrumentation solutions and site implementation of same Completion of daily reports, calibration records and health and safety documentation as required for day to day works on sites Candidate Requirements A minimum of 2 years experience in an E&I role, ideally within the industrial, water or wastewater sector Qualified electrician with a recognised instrumentation qualification or proven hands-on instrumentation experience Strong technical knowledge of 3 phase motors, pumps, dosing pumps and associated process instrumentation Proven calibration, fault finding and loop testing experience across analogue and digital signals Working with pumps, motors, dosing equipment (including pumps & controllers), control panels and instruments Familiarity with PLCs, automation and telemetry would also be an advantage Proven ability to service, maintain & fault find electrical issues including verification of signals back to PLC for inputs and outputs as required for plant control functions Good computer skills Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation Registration with Safe Electric as a QC would be an advantage Full clean driving license What We Offer Competitive salary and career progression opportunities Company Vehicle and work mobile phone Company pension scheme to support your long-term financial wellbeing Comprehensive employee healthcare insurance A supportive and collaborative team
