IT Support Engineer (Level 1-2)
Location: Dublin
Salary: €45,000 - €50,000 | Permanent, Full-Time
Our client, a leading engineering and technology organisation, is seeking an IT Support Engineer (Level 1-2) to join their expanding technical team in Dublin. This role offers exposure to a wide range of systems and infrastructure, providing the opportunity to support users, implement solutions, and contribute to IT improvement projects across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide first and second-line support to users across desktop, server, and network environments.
2. Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and Microsoft 365 applications.
3. Manage user accounts, access permissions, and group policies through Active Directory.
4. Troubleshoot connectivity issues, VPNs, and local network faults.
5. Assist in setting up new offices and project sites, including device and network configuration.
6. Maintain documentation, asset registers, and ticket tracking within the IT system.
7. Collaborate with senior engineers on infrastructure or cloud-related initiatives.
Skills & Experience
8. 2-4 years' experience in a similar IT Support or Systems Engineer role.
9. Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory administration.
10. Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
11. Knowledge of Teams, SharePoint, and remote management tools.
12. Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
13. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
14. Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or ITIL) are advantageous.
