Excel Recruitment is seeking a Receptionist for our client who specialises in the legal and public service sector. This is a 6-week, full-time contract role supporting a high-profile event involving members of the public, media, and legal professionals. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing front-of-house support. This position will start in mid January 2026.
Responsibilities
1. Welcome and register attendees, check ID, and provide basic event information
2. Escort participants to designated rooms
3. Liaise with hospitality staff regarding daily deliveries
4. Monitor room conditions and coordinate with cleaning or maintenance teams
5. Support participants with IT issues by liaising with IT staff
6. Perform general administrative tasks such as photocopying and document distribution
7. Respond to attendee emails and manage on-the-day registration requests
8. Join daily Webex chat group and ensure remote event feed is functioning
9. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a legal environment
10. Collaborate with a small internal team and a wider legal case team
Requirements
11. Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role
12. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
13. Calm, flexible, and proactive under pressure
14. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
15. Comfortable using email, laptops, and basic IT systems
16. Professional appearance and demeanour
17. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
18. Willingness to assist with varied tasks across teams
19. Must be available to work full time in Ireland with no restrictions
