You will have the opportunity to work on major infrastructure, transportation and energy projects in Ireland and internationally. Working as part of a small team will provide opportunities and exposure to a broad range of experiences and responsibilities. Some of the day to day tasks will include:Lead and undertake assignments in Ireland and internationally, collaborating across teams in a multidisciplinary environmentDeliver engineering solutions across a broad range of structural types and using local and international standard, including structural design and analysis at a range of project stages including conceptual, preliminary and detailed design; checking and analysis of internal and third-party designs; value engineering to review designs and assist in finding solutions and improvements for clients; finite element analysis and report on resultsMonitor staff time and budgets against assignment programme and agree appropriate actions where necessaryUndertake project management which may include monitoring programmes and budgets, liaising with teams and individuals and reporting progress and updates, liaise with Clients and managing Client relationshipsPrepare drawings, reports, calculations, analysis and specifications to report internally and to clientsQualificationsProfessionally qualified and Chartered Civil Engineer with extensive structural and civil engineering experience on infrastructure, transportation or energy projectsGood knowledge of structural processes and design, with a particular emphasis on data interpretation, design & analysis, construction and advanced numerical modellingExperience of computer analysis of structures and design of structural elements in common materials i.e. steel, concrete, composite, fibre reinforced concrete and CFRPExperience at Assignment Manager and Designer level with a proven record of managing commercial and contractual aspects and delivering assignments to programme and budgetProven ability to build, maintain and develop relationships with clientsStrong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate, listen and influence; able to adapt technical message to audienceAbility to think and act operationally and strategically, respond quickly to changing circumstances whilst maintaining a clear view of overall prioritiesExcellent team working skills; able to lead, contribute to and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix environmentKnowledge and experience in structural analysis/finite element software such as LUSAS, MasterFrame, RM Bridge, SAM (Autodesk Structural Bridge Design)Excellent Microsoft Office abilities (particularly Excel)BenefitsWorking with us, you will enjoy competitive salary and benefits, including profit share scheme, discretionary bonus scheme, and employee assistance programme, continues professional development, which is at the heart of our culture, and an environment where the support and care for the wellbeing of our people is important to everyone
